In this asynchronous workshop, participants will work together to produce a series of interactive, virtual 3D environments composed of photographic fragments, drawn sketches, audio recordings and phone-based 3D scans. These audio-visual artifacts will be drawn from participants' immediate, physical surroundings encountered during their experience of the conference and its social context. Using the Community Game Development Toolkit (see workshop webpage), we will take a collage-based approach to composing interactive scenes using participants’ collectively contributed artifacts. The resulting virtual environments will chart a network of chance encounters with participants’ embodied experience of the conference and an abstract composition of participants’ shared social, cultural and physical space.
