In keeping with the concern over too little regulation in the area of fracking, this piece is designed to enlighten and entertain, with the hopes of making people aware of what happens in minority neighborhoods and poor communities around the country.
When it comes to social justice, governments around the country have historically allowed for environmentally dangerous enterprise or construction in, near or through minority neighborhoods. Whether pressurized pipelines near elementary schools in black communities like East New York-Brooklyn or fracked gas in Sheridan Hollow, NY, it's a social justice issue.
